I was wondering how the Lady was doing with all the fair weather we've been having.
I'm worried about what we'll have for late summer/fall conditions. Last fall was great but it looks like it may be a year to show some mercy to the Lady's fish come fall. We need some significant snow up high.
if what you allude to is the river i'm thinking of, it was originally named Rio de los Santos Reyes (River of the Holy Kings) by moraga, one of the earliest spanish exploratory trips to the area. just a tidbit...

I think we got two different river references here - Alpen's being the Merced and your mention being the Kings. I could be off.
Both jewels for the central sierras if you know the where and when to go.
