"Where did you go to high school?"

A big joke around the shop is the fact that when I am talking to someone new to our shop I usually ask them where they went to high school?

This can tell you something about the person.

One day while doing that I discovered that the new guy had gone to high school at McClatchy High School in south Sac and the same year as Terry Thomas who was working that day too. I introduced them......

Because I have been alive a while (66 years) in Sacramento and in the fishing tackle business for 45 years I can usually talk to any fly fisher who come into the shop and find something we have in common.

It is a small world.....

Got arrested and kicked out of Saddleback High School in 83, then got kicked out of another high school in 85 but can't remember the name, it was one of those bad person schools. Then graduated early with a regular high school diploma from Horizon High in 86, 2 months early actually. So what does that tell you about me? Most people probably won't want to fish with me now, oh well.
