We both remember when the rods were almost all 2 piece and those cool 3 piece rods came out about maybe 15 years ago?

3 piece was king for a while then it went to 4 piece.

I liked the 3 piece because there was no furrel in the middle where the most stress was.

Now for local fishing and boat fishing 2 piece is fine. Just one furrel to come loose.

G Loomis still makes a one piece saltwater series.

He is a busy guy. Don't feel bad I'm his friend and we go months without talking. He'll pop up again sooner or later.
