Sadly, we have lost some really good people due to the flaws in the human race, I guess.

I go through the 'Community' list on occasion and see those names......and wonder about them.

I still get new people every week though.

We have a wonderful sport here and I think our lives are better for it.

Let's raise a glass tonight to all those who we have lost and hope they miss us and drop by from time to time.

Talk about a loss, I still miss my 'Oregon Salmon' (Galen Geller) who grew up at my store.

Any of you can look back in the archives and read his amazing posts.

He moved from Sacramento to Seaside, Oregon and basically tied flies for a living his entire life.

When I retired I had planned to go to Seaside and have him make me 'Clam Linguini' from the beaches of Oregon.

He died at 52, I believe from a lifetime of drinking the cheapest beer of the day.

He had a higher IQ than most and a degree in Econometrics.

Galen had his problems but he was a real interesting and entertaining guy.

Next time you are on the Pit river raise a glass and make a toast for Galen.......
