I just tried Rich and was able to start one. Silly question, but you did click on the big blue button the left of the screen up top that says +POST NEW THREAD, right? And after you were already in a forum and not the main board. I know it sound basic, but just making sure of what you tried.
So long and thanks for all the fish!!!

Interesting...Thanks Scott - Yes I was trying to start threads the same way I always have - the way you describe. I don't know if it's the computer or was a temporary thing but I was just able to create a thread from a different computer. Odd.
There are few things in life more pleasing than the sublime marriage of form and function that is found in a well crafted fly rod.

Sadly, we have lost some really good people due to the flaws in the human race, I guess.

I go through the 'Community' list on occasion and see those names......and wonder about them.

I still get new people every week though.

We have a wonderful sport here and I think our lives are better for it.

Let's raise a glass tonight to all those who we have lost and hope they miss us and drop by from time to time.

Talk about a loss, I still miss my 'Oregon Salmon' (Galen Geller) who grew up at my store.

Any of you can look back in the archives and read his amazing posts.

He moved from Sacramento to Seaside, Oregon and basically tied flies for a living his entire life.

When I retired I had planned to go to Seaside and have him make me 'Clam Linguini' from the beaches of Oregon.

He died at 52, I believe from a lifetime of drinking the cheapest beer of the day.

He had a higher IQ than most and a degree in Econometrics.

Galen had his problems but he was a real interesting and entertaining guy.

Next time you are on the Pit river raise a glass and make a toast for Galen.......
