    Default "Good old days"........floating evolutions.

First picture is me in a canvas 'Tucker Duck & Rubber Company' (of Fort Smith, AK) old round float tube in a lake in Oregon maybe 40 years ago. With Seal-Dri pure latex seamless stocking foot waders. Probably a fiberglass Fenwick fly rod too. Those are old Cable Car flat glass Polarized sunglasses that were about $12 back then. Probably a Columbia Sportswear "Kalama II" shorty vest too.

Second photo is on Lake Solano (on lower Putah Creek) with a newer synthetic skin float tube I think from Creative Sports in Walnut Creek., CA. Use to be a big mid-day Callibaetis mayfly hatch back in the 1960/70s. Lots of people like Hal Janssen came from the Bay Area to fish there back then.

Third photo is me at the dam on Lake McCumber back in the day with a new 8 foot TP&L fiberglass tri-hull pram. I love that little weedy lake....

Fourth photo is in 1978 with my new VW van and two TP&L 8 foot prams on top. At Manzanita Lake in Lassen Park, Nor Cal, looking for rising fish....

Great photos, Bill! Love the "ol days.
I can't go back quite that far, but here's a couple of one of Pete Ross's early Wood River "U" boats circa '90-91'.

Ah Bill!! We were so young then !! (60++ here). Loved the pics. Especially enjoyed the Lake Solano pic as I grew up in Vacaville. As a teenager we used to take a homemade boat out to the island and camp...

I just this summer retired my Columbia Henry's Fork Vest from the 70's

    Hi Jimmy

Those were the "good old days" and it was a lot of fun.

At one time Columbia Sportswear had the fly fishing vest market.

The Henrys Fork and the Kalama were popular models.
