    Default Stumpy Meadows

Had the morning open for fishing yesterday. I had a couple of lakes in mind, but with the weather coming in I decided to stay close to home. Stumpy was just planted last week so it sounded like a good fit. I got on the water at 730, windy and cold. Fishing for planters was good, caught 9 by noon, lost about half a dozen more. I got tired of catching planters and decided to "search" the stumps in the cove by the launch for a nice sized brown witha type 4 line, no luck. Had o 1 good grab but it didn't stick. I love fishing 1/2 hour from my house. There was 1 other guy bank fishing, and he was catching fish using a spinning rod with a spinner. Get there before the roads snowed in, then get there in 4wd (that's a good time!).
