Scheduled for plants this week. I've never been--worthwhile? It's in Pollock Pines so relatively close.
Was planning on an Indian Creek trip but the weather looks pretty nasty.

from what i recall forebay is closed to fishing?
It's on the DFG plant list for this week.
Of course, that IS a state agency so....
Is this the small reservoir right in Pollock Pines, just north of hwy50? If so they have big signs about no swimming and such, but clearly state that fishing is ok. I've seen folks fishing there before too, although I don't know anything about the quality of the fishing...?
Best of luck,

I called EID and there's no "human contact" which includes float tubes. That's probably why we don't hear about it on FF forums. Pass.
It is more like a pond, it isn't that big and since most planted trout swim within a few feet of shore it is easy to catch fish there.
So long and thanks for all the fish!!!

It's a great spot to cast a line. Gets a little "crowded" after they plant, but it's not as small as you think. The lake level has been a little out of whack this year (EID was giving the lake a good drain, daily) but I'm sure the truck trout will be used to that.
You might see snow there after tonight, so come prepared.
