    Default Frenchman 10/28 - 10/31

Kathys birthday was on the 30th and she wanted to get away from civilization and that means only one thing to me, a lake with fish. So off we went to Frenchman in the RV with our kitties. Got to the lake on Friday and found an almost empty campground. Fished the lake from shore in the evening and caught a couple little guys that were rising. Started the next day at about 10:00 and got into a nice 19" right of the bat, it turned into a very nice day with great weather and fish rising most of the time. If you could throw to the fish within a few seconds of them rising you would either get that fish or one of its friends. Sunday was the same way, plenty of fish with the average size around 17" and the biggest at 19". Beautiful weather and great fishing, water temp was 52 - 54, just what the trout like.

I decided to try and get artistic with my fish shots.

Here is a fish trying to eat Kathy.

As always all fished released to grow into bigger fish!!!

    Hot action

So long and thanks for all the fish!!!

So how did Kathy like the float tubing?

Elwood: It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses.

    Jake: Hit it.

She liked sitting on the water reading her book. Now I need to get her waders and boots. She didn't care for my U-boat float tube, she wants to sit higher in the water. Looks like I need to get a new Fishcat 4, bummer.

Great report Scott, thanks for that! Looks like you took notes during my presentation this summer - Now is the time for Frenchman's, even with nasty weather.

What'd I do to tick you off Scott? I thought you were coming up this weekend. I was @ Frenchman on Sunday, at the opposite end of you. Fishing and catching were spectacular! I got on the water just before 8am ( 19 degrees ), and got in to fish all day. I did catch 2 of the largest I've experienced in the last 7-8 years at least. Sorry I missed you & hope you'll contact me next time you come up.
