    Default Lower Klamath/Tule Lake trout???

Heading up for the opener of ducks/geese next weekend. Anyone know of a place nearby IN CALIFORNIA, where I can hit up some trout?

    Default couple of choices

Hope you're taking a boat up to hunt because you can fish on Klamath Lakes (on the border) or Eagle Lake. Very big fish (along with the weather), so fish with a strong 6# or even a 7#. Cortland Clear Camo line with marabou buggers (various colors) and some nice 2X tippet because the water is extremely rich with nutrients where you can use these heavy tippets to hold onto the big fish. Also bring a floating line with long leaders if see them tailing eating scuds (make sure you have various combinations) and hunt them as freshwater bonefish...

Hope you have a great time....
