If any of you get to a fishing show where Norm Norlander is demostrating his vise and bobbin it is worth the time to watch him for a while.

I always tell Norm that if he was at my shop every day we could sell a lot of his Nor vises.

We carry his Nor vise and bobbin all the time at Kiene's.

Here is Norm's intro video clip about his vise:

We actually sell more Nor Bobbins than the we do the vises. Here is a video clip on the Nor Automatic Bobbin:

    Question Vises....

Rustyfly.... I would qualify your statement about being able to place a hook quicker in a Regal vise than a Norvise. I've shifted some of my tying to the Barracuda Jr as a result of the difficulty I have using the bar to actuate the jaws of the Regal. After developing some osteo arthritis in my hands, they're too sore to do it without a warm-up....

Darian, just to clarify, there's no motor on the Norvise.... a lot of people think so when seeing vids and how fast it turns. There's a small nob or you can just use the hubs to turn it. I believe some people have adapted foot pedals and a small electric motor though.

    Talking clamping hooks

I guess if you couldn't open the jaws then the Regal wouldn't be faster.

    Question No Motor....

Well,.... I stand corrected. I've seen at least one that did have a motor. So, it must've been customized. Norm is so fast in using it that it seems motorized.... At any rate, it's still the fastest as far as I'm concerned.
