Too many choices today.....but you do have the size right. The 12'6" #6 is very popular now.

    Echo "Solo" = $229.00

    Echo "TR" = $349.00

    TFO "Deer Creek" = $349.00

    Ross "Reach" = $369.00

    Redington "CPX" = $399.00

    ARC "Explorer" = $450.00

    Beulah "Platinum" = $560.00

    Sage "VXP" = $595.00

These are all good, affordable, popular Spey rods with slightly different actions.....

**We keep all these in stock.......

Take a look at the line recommendations on our online Spey store:

    Default Anderson Custom Rods

I have a ACR 1296. This rod is a absolute gem to cast. It is probably one of my favorite rods to cast.

Craig - just checked Kiene's Spey Page site for a number of recommendations depending on type of line system you want

    Talking Spey Rod

Very happy with the 12-6 , 6 wt. Platinum by Beulah. Affordable, and throws a Skagit Flight a mile. "well not littreally"

just an additional thought - you might consider stepping down a size to a 5 wt - I have Anderson's original 1204 - it is closer to a 5 than a 4 and I throw a 375 RIO Skagit short on it - this rod is really all you need on rivers such as the GR though no question a 6 would be ok on these rivers. But with a 375 I can easily throw T-11 tips and heavy flies

    Talking 6 wt. Spey Reel

Not sure why the public is not interested in the U.S., but check out the Loop series that they have to offer. Whether it is sibngle hand or double handed rods. Have had both for years. Excellent reels. Go to Looptackle .com.
