Lake Natoma
When DFG was planting bass food (test tube trout) I'd fish Natoma five days a week from May through September and usually do well with trout and bass. I was usually at Willow Creek with some of you, especially during the Hex hatch. I haven't fished it much in the last five years, but every time including tonight it's been a goose egg for me. I took my daughter out on Willow Creek and I had two strikes on a popper probably blue gills and that was it.
Does anyone have anything encouraging about Natoma? I wouldn't think stopping the trout plants would shut the entire lake down, maybe it's a coincidence, but I sure have lost the touch there. You?
My daughter after a five year hiatus is back interested in fly fishing. I want to take her someplace where she can almost for sure catch something. Any suggestions? Within two hours, a day trip, float tubes. Maybe Fuller?

They did just plant Fuller last week so it should still produce pretty well now. Should be just the thing.
