Upper Truckee/ Showers

I was thinking of taking my daughter to the upper Truckee near Meiss to get another of her heritage trout. Anyone been up there and know if it is fishable or if the trail is open with the late snow? PM if necessary

I took my daughter up there for the same thing last year. We'll be heading back up again next week. The trail should be clear with the exception of a few shady spots as you leave the meadow and start heading up to Showers. It really shouldn't be a problem. Call Eldorado National Forest for the latest. It looks like the information station at Carson pass is still closed.
