Panama Canal Cruise Spring 2012

I'll be taking a cruise next February thru the Canal starting in Ft. Lauderdale. Ports or call are Cartegena, Puntarenas, San Juan Del Sur, and Cabo San Lucas, ending in LA. If anyone has recommended guides that can accomodate a short excursion for cruise passengers I'd appreciate the help. Flyfishing is preferred.

We took that trip with 14 family and friends about 10 years ago leaving from San Francisco returning to Fort Lauderdale. It was a two week cruise and I loved it.

Be sure to get an outside cabin with a little balcony. When we were in our rooms we were usually on the balcony. You will be in the tropics so it will be beautiful.

You can spend as much money during the cruise as you will for the cruise if your not careful. They have shopping, a casino, and land tours that can add up fast.

We stopped at the Cayman Islands and at Isla Cozumel where we snorkeled at both places.

Going through the canal is very impressive. They had an informational TV channel that told all about the destinations every day. We watched it as we went through the canal looking out our balcony.
