My friend found this in his house, what the heck is it. An insect with 8 legs? About 1 inch long.

So long and thanks for all the fish!!!

Yep, wind scorpion/spider is the common name. Seen a few here and there. I think they're mostly harmless but they do have a set of mandibles on them but no venom.
"Did you catch anything".........."No, did you"........

"Hey man, mind if I fish here?"....."Yes"...."Thanks man!"

Sunspider, windscorpion. I LOVE those. Not an insect though. It's an arachnid. Keep him for me, I had one for more than a year once. The way they eat crickets is wicked!!

They're the world's fastest "spider". I guess they "run like the wind"? They actually are closer relatives to scorpions however.

They spin webs which act as sails and blow with the wind. Upon landing on a person they make one small bite behind the ear.

    3 seconds later you're dead.

At least that's what I'm gonna tell my grandson next time he's out.

Look what I got last night! OMG it's gotta be the biggest ant I've ever seen, and it was in my bathtub. Of course you never just have ONE ant right!?

Imagine the happy trout if there were to be a "hatch" of these?

You guys ever see those HUGE spiders that spin webs between
the metal barriers on top of the Goethe footbridge?

Those things are nasty looking...I've walked through their webs downstream. Makes my skin crawl.
