Here is a translation of the first few paragraphs brought to us by Google Translate (http://translate.google.com/?hl=en&tab=wT#) ...

    Italian to English translation
Since 1989 our primary goal and 'always been to satisfy the greatest number of flyfisherman.

So Wet & Dry is now confirmed by a dealer to sell the whole range of useful articles for the fly-fishing.
This choice is not 'random or only commercial, but is the result of the passion of the owner until 1969, during the first years of fly fishing, then from 1979 onwards in a "full time activities". "Our discipline "together with the great love with what we call " outdoors "or"outdoor "personally conducted around the world have always been critical to continually test all the equipment we offer to our customers.
In fact, ours is in fact a real store with an experienced person who can 'advise and at the same time guarantee and offer assistance even after the sale. The manufacturers are the best present to offer the international market in all market segments.

    Default Italy

I'm just reading James Prosek's "Fly Fishing the 41st." He hasn't got to Italy yet (in
the book.) 41st refers to the line of latitude.

The fishing would be a side bar to the trip... not the main focus. If it is available and decent it could be good. If it is "fair to middling" I may still bring along some set ups for me and my wife...

This is less that 24 hours old at this point... but it seems to be in the cards!

Just put a 9' #5 - 4pc outfit in you luggage with some leaders, tippet, clippers, floatant, flies, etc.

At over 3,000 feet in most places in Europe there can be trout.

Most places with volcanic activity have trout.

Ask your question on Dan Blanton's message board too.

The Po drainage is a decent place to maybe catch a Marble Trout. Larger cousin to the brown. Italy also stocks browns and bows I believe.

Nearby Slovenia has pretty awesome trout from what I hear as well, might be a haul but worth knowing about. I havent been to either, but Ive talked to some accomplished Slovenian fly anglers/tyers and it seems like they have some very nice fisheries, including some fly-only and even dryfly-only waters.
