Long time Pyramid fisher and Reno local Bill Ladner stuck a 17lb cutt at Pyramid today. I saw some video and fish was massive. He got it stripping a popcorn beetle trailed by olive woolly. He said he saw the popcorn beetle come to surface on his lift and then he saw the fish eat the woolly right under the surface in front of him. Some of you may remember Bill from the recently closed Reno Fly Shop. Way to go Bill!!!

On saturday I helped another local land a 12lber at Wino. Seems like a lot of big fish coming from Pyramid this season. Get out there and get yourself one!

Hopefully Bulldog can post a photo of Bill's fish soon.

Amazing catch! Congrats to Bill. Do we have any idea how old these big fish are and what their lifespan is? I'd love to know.
