Okay, since nobody has posted proof of Nessie yet...

Here's what I saw last week - TroutCarp, or CarpTrout. Nope, probably not a shad:

    Then this... WTF? Torpedos away!

This? Nah, some sort of sunny or perch?

Oh, I thought you wanted a photo of CHAD!?

    GRR! Smells like bass...

Oh, wait... Could it be?! In the murk, there. Lower left, silvery color, somewhat deep bodied, deeply forked tail!

    Judges?

    Okay, back to work...

Lots of eels. If I were a shad I would stay away!

Indeed! I'll be home with the kids all week next week for Spring Break so I'll hammer it out then.

    Default Winner!

    SHig:
Congrats for the win. You might want to look at a description of the two books on
Amazon.com. The McPhee book is a classic. Nobody researches a topic like him.
Cole's book is mostly about his years spent as a "commercial" striper fisherman
off Long Island's East End. Later in life, he became obsessed with the need for
    striper conservation and protection.
When you decide which book you would like to have, shoot me a "PM."
    Include name and address.

tacocat: "PM" me your name and address and I'll send you the other book; once SHig
    has decided.
    Best to all,
    Larry S

    _SHig,

You are such a cheater. Your fish is clearly a Pacu or an Arapaima.

    Thanks Larry. Will do.

I saw this cool tarpon looking thing yesterday.
