Switch Rod School...

Lance Gray & Company Switch Rod School is conducted on the Feather River. The Switch Rod School is basically the Steelhead School, but we only fish with Switch Rods.

This two day course the students will work on Steelhead skills using only a Switch Rod. The students will learn advance two handed rod techniques such as the dead drift indicators, snap-tee, single and double spey. The students will also learn how to perform control swings.

Locating fish, lies and holds and how to position yourself with the right set up is conduct the proper presentation is key is this school.

The Switch Rod School will give the students the confidence, skills and knowledge to tackle Steelhead anywhere in Northern California. The two day schools also gives the students crucial one on one time with the instructor.

The course is designed for the novice to intermediate Steelheader.

Tuition for the two day school is $400.00 per student.

Schools include rods, reels, flies, leaders and indicators. Does not include wading gear.

A cold or hot lunch is provided, along with beverages and snacks. A Deposit is required to hold your date.

All of the Switch Rod School are for two students per two instructor. Cost is $400.00 per student for the entire two day school.

Students may bring there own equipment if they which. Students must have a valid California License with a valid Steelhead Card.
