    Default Sage rplx 11 w :)

    Maury,

I've still got one of my 11 weights marked down to $200.00. The RPLX was the original SAGE Saltwater rod that everybody loved until the new technology came about.

This rod is is great condition and comes with the original tube and sock.

I also have a SAGE RPL 9 weight that is brand new and NEVER fished. It was warranted by SAGE a few years ago and they replaced the whole rod. It has the original tube and sock as well for $150.00. Perfect for salmon or large steelhead.

    Tony,
How many pieces is your RPLX? I would be interested if it is a 3 pc.

    Hi Hem,

I'm glad to see that some one else likes three piece rods like I do. Yes, it is a three piece. The model numbers are # 1190-3 RPLX.

The 11w. has been a real favorite of mine for La Paz recently. Sometimes those Toro and Roosters just put too much on a 10w to be fun. I've also used it on tarpon in the keys and Aku in Kona. This particular rod has been my back up as I have two of them.

Private e-mail me if you need more info.

I've got a first run Powell Tiburon #9 (990-4) that fishes like a #10. Lighter rod casts like a #9, but fishes stronger than designated line weight. Matches up well with about 380-400 grain lines.

It will lift heavy fish, no problem.

The rod was manufactured by Powell when they were located in Rancho Cordova back in the year 2000-2001.

I'll sell it outright or trade it straight up for a TFO TiCrX #6 4 piece with saltwater handle.

I have a Sage RPLXi 10wt 3 piece available for $300 delivered in US. Excellent condition with original sock & tube.

Also have a back up Orvis Silver Label TL Tip Flex 9.5 (4 piece) with original partitioned tube I'd sell for $150 delivered.
