    Default American Flows/ wading?

Looks like the A has gone up to 7000 as of yesterday, according to a post lower down...?

Would it even be worth trying to wade fish the river at these flows...? had been planning a trip up there for tomorrow but am now worried it might be futile.

    Thanks.

Where you going? I wouldn't wade too deep but most spots can be accessed but most runs will be fairly blown out at these flows.

Is Folsom almost full or something too? Someone told me it was still way down or something earlier this year so I don't understand why they would be releasing either...

Actually the level is alot higher than what it has been in previous years. I drive over it at least twice a month and from what I see it still has plenty of water. Also I do not think they made the boat owners take their boats out at Brown's Ravine this year, or at least I do not remember reading anything about taking boats out. In previous years they had to dry dock their boats around mid July.

As for the original post about wading, before you get in the water look for an escape route just incase. It is better to look at the water and find a way out if you slip and go for a swim.
So long and thanks for all the fish!!!

Folsom is still about 60 percent full and is much higher than the past few years at this time (approx 575,000 acre feet out of 977,000 or so capacity). The only explanation I can think of for this brief flow spike was to keep the lake level from rising as a result of the last couple of storms.

My dad mentioned an article in the Folsom newspaper the other day that said the lake would be drawn down somewhere in the 400,000's to make room for the Spring run off.
