Driving over the hill to the T on Saturday. Gonna be mostly swinging stuff, but nymphing is in the mix too.
I'm looking for some proven go-to nymphs I can tie up for the Trinity.
Thanks all!

Red Copper Johns 12-16, Golden Stones 6-10. Big Black Ugly Bugs. Try swinging them too. You would be surprised how effective they are.
Check your smail mail tomorrow. You should be receving a few things that you can swing!
We will probably be using something black (dark) with a wing in a size 4 or 6.

I would add to the above a Mercer Psycho Prince and a TDF Nymph.
PT's, silver chartreuse blue copper johns, lightning bugs, and stoneflies (all tied on TMC 2457's NOT commercial light wire trout hooks) have produced for me in the past.
Good luck!

I love the 2457. Heavy wire and large gap.
There is only one fly you will need for swinging the Trin.
Copper Assassin-size 6 or 8.
Nuff said.
Here is basically the only fly I use on the Rogue and my guess it will work well on the Trinity as well.

All above are good, If the water's up and or colored a bit, I've done well with a blue Bunny leach, size 6; about 2-1/2 to 3" long. Lower river I'll go up to 3-1/2 to 4". The grab is incredible!
