    Default Fall Colors

Aloha, Luke and I just got back from our trip to Montana. It was great to see fall colors again.

We fished the Bitterroot and found a variety of trout there.

    Browns and westslope cutts.

We hiked to an alpine lake on the Idaho boarder, it was very beautiful.

These were yellowstone cutts planted there.

    Luke got a rainbow.

It is called Reynolds Lake, it is a special place.

We spent a day on the Salmon fishing for steelhead.

My father in law got a nice 30" wild west fork hen. It was a very healthy fish.

Luke and I then went to Rock Creek for a couple of days.

    Luke got a nice brookie.

I used an October Caddis and this larval stage fly a serendipity.

    Hoppers also worked.

    Luke got a nice brown.

We had a good time on Rock Creek.

Great report and beautiful photos! The tail on that 30" steelhead is huge.

    Thumbs up Montana....

Aloha Don,.... Looks like you and Luke had a great time as usual. You always seem to pick interesting places to vacation.

I've gotta get my rear in gear and go up that way before I get too old to do it. Thanks for sharing. The photos are beautiful....
