    Remember I told you about that no indicator/no lead "traditional" crowd that wanted to start keeping wild fish on the Umpqua?

    That is a couple of years old. The fish and game commission voted for it to remain c&r.

    I agree it is an old issue. Reading through the page that was linked though, I found many misleading and hard to believe comments. For example

    The health of wild winter steelhead populations in Southern Oregon rivers like the Umpqua are simply due to the lack of pressure.
    Hardly. What about flow and habitat quality.

    All you have to do is go down to any number of boat ramps on the system and the writing is on the wall. As I said, I counted 42 boat trailers at a single boat ramp one day this winter.
    Sad when fisheries science is removed.
