Holy High Water Batmat - Upper Sac

I made it up to Dunsmuir today and managed to sneak away for about an hour to check out the river. WOW! I don't think I've ever seen that much water in the river at this time of year. Kind of nucking futs, really. The secret is that you can still fish the river as long as it isn't brown. You just need a lot of weight.

I landed 2 and lost 2 in that hour, standing in one spot and casting over and over to the same water. When the river is this high, there aren't a lot of places you can actually fish, but there aren't too many places the fish can actually hold... find the slower, deeper water and high stick some stones through there and bingo... game on.

Hope to make it out a couple more times while I'm up here visiting my folks with my daughter. The weather is nice, for a change. Crazy high river though.
