    Default 5/5 Shad Report

    Took the boat out to my favorite shad spot on the A last night. Lost a bit of fishing time trying to get the stupid motor to start. Finally gave up on that when the pull rope broke Limped out to the hole with the trolling motor. Landed a couple of fish in about an hour and a half. Also had a couple of good size stripers boil within 15 feet of the boat. The gear guy near by reported 15 hookups the night before, but we were pretty much even for the night. Struggled back up to the launch, barely, with the troller and called it a night around 8.
    Shad season is here!

    Fished Watt Ave. today without a grab. Seems late, anyone hooking up?

    I put the boat in at Gristmill.

    Saw a guy in a Clacka @ Watt today as I drove over the bridge. Was that you?
