Well? Anything this weekend? Feather? American?
Well? Anything this weekend? Feather? American?
...considering the silence I'd get out to the Lower A this evening if I wasnt in Seattle for work today.
Hmmmm, I didn't make it out, but I doubt it's picking up yet, but then again you never know til you get out. When you getting back Wjorg? I'm going to at least get my bridge test done or actually fish it tomorrow and I'll let you know.
"Did you catch anything".........."No, did you"........
"Hey man, mind if I fish here?"....."Yes"...."Thanks man!"

Seems wiered to me that folks on the feather are catching shad, but no one on the AR??
Could this be because there are 2 MONSTER sized sealions (im from the coast, these are monster sized, 600-850lbs)working the confluence every single day, all day long??

I fly back tomorrow, hoping I can go out Wed evening. Today being Jeff C's Shad anniversary, I hoped it'd be green light again today.
Maybe a life size blow up female sea lion would get them chasing something else? After my tussle with one on the Russian while wading...Ill give them a wide berth!!
So whats the bridge test Jgoding?
Hmm that sounds like the 2 big sea lions roaming around last year right around downtown.
One day I thought I saw one of the biggest striper boils in history only to get the heck scared out of me by this big huge sea lion..
The Bridge test is relatively easy..... I go to my usual spot, I walk about midway across the bridge, look down and if I see shad I go fishing, if not, I go downstream and chase striper....

The bridge test is the easiest and smartest way to determine if you should fish or not..
Just look down...
Guppy caught his first shad of the season last night. I left about 7 p.m. I guess I should have stayed until dark.
Good job Garret!! Saw the pic on another site.
