Please .... someone , anyone , enlighten me - how does diverting more water help Salmon ?? And this is coming from Federal stimulus money ???

they got about half of a story right with this news piece. the screening and pump station is part of the effort to take out the diversion dam. They are removing the dam and putting in a screened pump station. The water is already being diverted all this is doing is changing the method.
