I've fished there a few times with my kids. Last year caught many bass up to 4# on my 3wt stripping buggers. In fact one hawg ate the bluegill right off my line. My brother has caught an 8# bass out there throwing plugs. So they are out there and willing to bite. Now is an excellent time to try. They just reopened after being closed all winter. The fish are hungry.
