Your flies arrived a few days ago ... very nice color combination on the maribou pattern. They look like a definite fish catcher!

I've decided that I'll tie my own design for the swap. The "Blue Spider" steelhead fly has been a great producer for both steelhead and trout. It was made for swinging, but you can dead drift it too. I've gotten fish on this thing when no other fly has produced.

It is on a size 8 steelhead/salmon hook and works in low/clear water or slightly colored water. Works especially well on pressured fish. I have great confidence in this fly when other patterns don't seem to be doing anything.

The picture attached to this message is close to what I'll be submitting. The swap variation includes wispy blue underfur, some extra tinsel on the butt section, and smaller ribbing. (The variation has been more productive. I just haven't taken a picture of it yet).

Okay guys, I have recently heard from two of the 'pending' tyers and expect to get thier flies mommentarily. Thanks Cody and Speyfool for the update.

Fats and Iron Mtn ... can you guys give me an update on when you'll be shipoping your flies? It woulds be great to finish up this swap in early March so we still have some steelheading season to capitalize on.
