    Lightbulb Spey Fly Swap

Hello there fellow spey enthusiasts and tiers!

I'm wondering if there is any interest amongst Kiene 'board' members to participate in a spey fly swap?

I'll offer up the coordination, collection, and distribution of the flies. All I need is 9 other spey fly enthusiasts/tiers to participate.

We can do a random spey pattern approach (i.e. your favorite spey pattern) or a style specific approach (i.e. hair wing, Dee, unconventional/innovative). The 'theme', if any, can be determined when we have all the tiers assembled and committed. No full-dress flies ... just flies that catch fish.

Please let me know if you're interested.

Is this for true spey flies? Or general steelhead patterns?

I'll add to that... I'm good for general steelhead patterns. I think 8 traditional spey flies would put me over the top.

The type of spey fly was an option I wanted to leave open for discussion, once we had a committed group. However, since the topic is now on the table, we might as well try to narrow the scope of the swap.

My initial thoughts were along the lines of general steelhead patterns. Granted, these patterns could range from traditional (i.e. silver hilton) to unconventional (i.e. intruder). By no means did I anticipate that people would want to venture down the road of full dress presentation spey patterns.

Some swap themes options for consideration:

    1) Single pattern theme - everyone produces a single pattern (i.e. string leach, intruder ...)
    2) Random pattern theme - everyone produces a different patters
    3) Style specific theme - everyone produces a similar style patter (i.e. hair wing, tube fly...)
