I only did it once, and that was when I brought it back from upstate New York. I had to tow a 20' car hauler and I didn't want to leave it behind. I made a cradle for the wheels to sit in so that the tongue of the trailer was a few inches above the cab of the truck. Then I cut some bocks to fit under the frame of the trailer and covered them with carpet. I had a friend with a quarry lift it with his bulldozer and drove the truck under to mount it. After that I strapped it down real good. It traveled great and you would not believe the looks I got coming across the country. The hardest part was wyoming when we had head winds of about 40mph. That's when I got 5mpg. Ouch When we got to ca. I used a forklift to raise it up and I drove the truck out from under it .
