Default Floating low is very cool too.

I really love anything that will get you out on the water.

Boats are cool but I remember the magic of the old round 'donut' style float tubes. You area at eye level with the surface which is a real special situation.

You can see things happen 'up close and personal'.

So small prams, float tubes, V-boats, pontoon boats, canoes and kayaks are very cool too.

    Thumbs up

The old round tube is considered outdated by most folks .

That's kind of sad ...... because they work better than ANYTHING else in the wind - you're low to the water , and you have total control . I have fished in sustained 30+ MPH winds when everyone else is running for the ramp . Sitting belly-button deep trumps sitting higher because it takes soooo much less effort .

    Primative round tubes rock !!

    Right on David,

Holding in the wind is a serious fact but I don't know if anyone makes a round float tube anymore???

The key is to tube only in the super-cold months - that way .... you're soooo cold and numb , you don't really mind shrinkage . Also , wear plaid pajama bottoms .... so your Friends will have something to laugh at , other than your shrimpy nevermind .
