    Sure do LS.

I've got a Scientific Anglers System One 456, early '80s vintage.

Dinged and scratched, shows every minute of many seasons fishing various river canyons.

Far from mint condition, color is grey, what color is left.

Screams like a banshee when you strip line or when a fish makes a run.

I hate to part with it, but what the heck, you need that toon gone so I'll help you out.

I can always trade that 'toon for a fly line.

Or an ok bottle of Scotch.

Always lookin to help a brother out.

Just to sweeten the pot, I also have a rumor of someone with the same reel, you could maybe trade a rod for that one and have some spare parts.
Elwood: It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses.

    Jake: Hit it.

You have a big heart Ed -- I would never part with a reel like that.

Here are the specs on the Ross BG... While the 5 is rated for 8-10wt, these are fairly light reels from my experience.

    Specifications:
Model Diameter Wt/oz Fly Line Rec. Backing
    BG-4 3.75" 7.3 7-9 WF8+185yds./30 lb.
    BG-5 4.00" 8.0 8-10 WF9+200yds./30 lb.
    BG-6 4.25" 8.7 10-12 WF11+250yds./30 lb.
    BG-7 4.50" 9.2 11-13 WF12+325yds./30 lb.
    BG-8 4.75" 9.7 13-15 WF14+450yds./30 lb.

Sounds like the Vexsis I have is too small for your interests... it's a 3-5wt.

    Good luck with the trade,

    Mike
