Well we got out and hooked a few...... three or four around 3#'s just waiting for the sun to set..... and it happened...........

    THE DARN WIND STARTED BLOWING..........
tried to make the most of it for one small fallow......
just was not in the zone for a WNW wind of 10-14mph....
and didn't have the time to run to where I should have been.
the forecast called for 5-7 becoming calm??????
I want a job in weather...........
we got some bends in the rods using 6 and 7 wt's
had some good laughs and companionship
    and the boat ran great.....
what more could a guy ask for.........

I hate the wind. Messes with the boat, line going everywhere but I was out Friday and it was the only time that I was wishing for wind. It was dead calm and HOT! We kept looking up in the trees for a leaf to move. The only cool down time was moving from spot to spot. I would have liked to stay till dusk for the top water but we were fried and ready to call uncle. Ended up with a bunch of dinks and 3 lb'ers with a couple of 5's and 7's.

Glad you found a few anyway. Those 3lb's this time of year feel alot bigger. Coming from W Sac what part of the Delta do you fish?

    Default what part

    The wet part....

I look at the tides and wind
and try to find that magic spot
I will drive to disco if I think that is the best spot for that day...
mostly I put in off of 8 mile road or Hwy 12
the old Striper Piper will do about 30 mph so we can cover a quite a bit of water in a day....
