    Default Props to Scott V.

Well with all my complaining about not going to the right spot..Scott V took me to the silver fork to show me how it's done. He was knocking them dead. He got to watch me snap off flies left and right. He manage a good amount, I on the other hand brought 3 to hand...even and nice brown.

Just want to say Big Thanks to Scott V for showing me the ropes and putting up with this rookie fisherman

I hope Scott finally got the creek brown he's been moaning about?! It'd be CLASSIC if you did but he didn't.

I definitely got my browns last night, and a good number of them as well. I knew it would have to happen sooner or later and last night was good. At the very end we hit a hole and I pulled about 6 or 7 from the same spot. The fish were rising everywhere as the sun was setting. I'll post a couple pics later, but I can finally stop whining about not getting a brown on the Silverfork. Plus I learned a couple of things about where they hang out compared to where the rainbows hang out.

Thanks for the kind words John, it was a pleasure to show you around and hang out with you for the evening. And sorry for laughing so hard when you fell not once but twice into shoulder deep holes, but that is what fishing is all about.
So long and thanks for all the fish!!!

Scott, very cool of you showing Hoser around a bit. I am self taught (still self teaching) and it isn’t easy. Sounds like you guys got into some good looking trout.

    Scott you're a class act.

I was up there Sunday afternoon and the catchin was good then too. It occured to me after releasing a brown that since you hadn't caught many in moving water you were probably fishing only the 'rainbow' holding spots.

I guess you figured it out.

John, this education you're getting will continue as long as you keep fishing.
See you on the water some day.

Elwood: It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses.

    Jake: Hit it.

Thanks for the kind words, Scott. Huh, what, oh he was talking about Ed.

Way to go Scotty! This is what makes this board so special.

    Congrats on the browns.

If is wonderful if the newcomers can get out on a good stream with someone who knows how to fly fish so they get a chance to see how it is done. Sadly many don't get this kind of help.

Thanks Scott.....I am proud to know you.
