    Default Small stream adventures

Hey everyone, long time no post. I've been busy and lacking time to get out there and fish. I had a day off yesterday so I decided to go small stream fishing by myself. I wanted to try out my new waterproof D-SLR bag and take some nice pictures while out fishing. I hit up a local stream an caught a bunch of small 5-10" trout that put some nice bends in to my 3wt. The dry dropper method kicked butt, most fish were caught on the dropper. Here are some pictures from yesterday:

It was a nice day to be out on the water. I hope that you guys are getting out there too!

    Adam,
Nice photos, as usual. I've been fishing the larger valley rivers lately, looking forward to some mountain stream time. Thanks for the motivation,

    Hi Adam,

Got a Fenwick FF805 - 2 piece fiberglass fly rod from Tom Moore which was our go to trout rod in the 1970s.

I have to get it out on a small stream for trout or bass soon.

Going to put my old Pflueger Medalist 1494 on it too.

    Thanks Kurt.

Bill call me if you want to make it up my direction for some good small stream action.

Nice report and great photos Adam. A day solo like that will go a long way in the personal well-being department! Within a 1.5 hours drive from home, we have just about got it all here in the North Valley! Matt

Thanks for the kind comments. I fished there again today with a couple of friends who are newbie fly fisherman. The little bit that I fished I did fairly well. Dry and dropper technique was the ticket! I have had a PT thrashed due to fish each time I've fished there, they died for a good cause!

Some pics to come tomorrow after a nice night of sleep.

    Hey Adam!

I fished that creek a couple of years ago and really liked the canyon section. Great pics!

Ya, it's beautiful. Here's some of the pics from yesterday:

We had a good day, not a bunch of fish caught by the newbies but enough to cause excitement......... enlisting a couple more fly fishermen
