lower river. low water. windy. cool. early evening.

A bit forboding as I was coming; a flyfishermen packing it into his car - not a good sign - as this was prime time if shad were on the bite, why leave? Perhaps it was the wind, but there I was, so what the heck.

Anyhow - I gave it a go for an hour or so; two fish on (one landed - foul-hooked on outside of mouth; the other LDR); a few more surfacing fish than in past few days......may be a new pod of fish is starting to arrive.

As for the PM's that I give the real deal - you're welcome; I post it as it happens - if the river is black with shad and they are being caught everywhere - well - that is what I will post.....if not......then I will tell it like it is.

And what it is......while better than "stone dead slow".....is not much to write home about. I personally am not worried about this website's reporting bringing hoards of people out there on weekdays......not going to happen, at least not yet.

But it is an improvement.
