Shad Rock!

How cool are Shad?! What a blast to take kids or people that have never been fisher folk out and get them into this kind of stuff! My daughter helped tie the fly that caught this fish. She wanted more "sparkle", and being a 9 year old girl naturally chose pink, so we did a "Pink Disco" fly and viola! I assisted bringing it in with two fingers on the base of the rod, but mostly it was her. She set the hook on three fish all by herself that evening and of course got the rod from me on all of my hook ups. Her casting...well the beauty of a boat is, it doesn't matter.

Man I hope she still fishes with me when she grows up!

That is a big shad, and caught on the fly she tied, too awesome for words. As my jamaican frineds would say "Respect, big respect maan"
