Default 6/7/09 AR report - stone dead slow

Tried the afternoon all the heck over the place, and got a bunch of exercise but nothing else fish-wise; from Sailor to Paradise. No fish seen, no fish caught, no fish seen being caught, and, other than a pod of boats downstream of Harrington getting sunburns, no one else fishing (at least not when I was out there).

I did notice some Park Rangers on dirt bikes confiscating a whole lot of booze from some kids a mile or so down from Sunrise.

Dead as a doornail. Stone dead slow fishing and, I suspect, very few fish.

Allow me to offer a bit of better news....I had my best shad outing in a while.

I fished Sunday PM 4:30-6:30 at Sailor's Bar and got 10 or 11. Also had an unidentified silver fish of decent heft that eventually LDR'd after some solid runs. Maybe a striper that ate a freshly hooked shad or a spring salmon? Who can say? Anyway, it got the blood pumping and the adrenaline going.

What? Shad fishing is still good in the lower river. The tough question is whether to fish stripers or shad as both are fishing well.

Amoeba, you stuck on shore or do you have a boat?
