American River bank fishing spots?

I am new to the area and am looking for a couple of spots to fish this week from the bank. I would really appreciate it if anyone could throw me some locations I could try tomorrow.

I just want to thank Charlie Gonzales for all the excellent tips and info for Shad on the American. With all of that I went out this afternoon and had a decent day on the water. It was my first time fishing for shad on the American and I released 16 shad, lost a handfull and missed a bunch of hits.

However, if I wasn't so stubburn I probably would have doubled that if only I would have took 15 steps upstream before the crowds showed up. : )

I can't wait to get out there and try it again tomorrow.

It was good to meet you Ben. Glad everything worked out. Think about getting some shooting heads so you can fish different waters also. Now, discover more of the river and have fun.
