American Shad

Went out to the American River at the Watt bridge at 5:30 Am, fished for about a hour had no luck don't think i was in the right area, was wader fishing. Any body else wader fishing for Shad ? if so were have you been catching them ?

I have heard of people catching them all the way up to Sailor Bar now.

Wading for them is not as easy as it will be if and when the flow comes down.
