    Default Fordyce Lake?

    Anyone here fish Fordyce Lake?

I had someone email me about this lake.

I have heard of people fishing it over the years but no information myself.

It looks like it is up Hwy 80 north of Cisco Grove.

Probably would not be good till June?

    Bill,

I have had some luck on Fordyce Lake in the past - not a lot of fish, but some decent ones. Rainbows and Browns from plants and the creek. As with
a lot of heavily fished lakes, early and late in the season seem to be best -
    now should be pretty good.

I've fish the general area alot of times... I doubt that you will be able to reach lake by 4 wheel until mid-late June. There are (alot) better lakes in the area but some decent fishing at Fordyce. The creeks in the back side are very fish friendly though.

    Question Fordyce Lake....

Fordyce Lake water levels fall steadily over the summer as it used to generate electric power. Likewise, outflows in the creek make the water levels there fluctuate wildly.

Haven't fished the lake but the creek can be outstanding if you time it right.

Way back in the day the parents used to take us out there on camping trips.... I remember it not being that good typically but it was a nice place to camp and canoe around.
