Striper Fishing near Chico?

I'm itchin to get into some stripers... I haven't fished stripers since I moved to Chico. I have a drift boat with a small 6 hp motor. It can't go up too strong of currents or anything... If I was going to striper fish without shutteling, I'd need to put into a river that's relativley slow so I can motor up and down around the boat launch... I wouldn't want to go too far downstream and not be able to get back up... I can always use two trucks for a shuttle too, but would prefer not to... Does anyone have any ideas on rivers and launch sites? I know the lower Sac and Feather have good striper runs... If anyone's willing to go fishing with me and share some knowledge, I'd be happy to row! I've never fished shad before either, I'd also row someone for some knowlege on shad fishing!
