There are no shad on the A. yet. I heard that some are being caught at Verona so they should be here soon.

Week after next our shad season starts! We got our first shad on 19 April last year, but that was a real early year and is not the norm.

Perfect. I can't wait. I need to dust off my boat and get it on the river.

We just heard at the shop yesterday that two guys on top of Watt Ave bridge saw a few schools of a 100+ fish working upstream just below the bridge. That many fish in one school are usually shad.
