    Default Longest T-14 head?

What is the longest T-14 head that anyone uses here?

    Is 35' the longest?

I think most are best off with 28'-30' of any T material.

Reason why is that Rio has their small package in 30 feet lengths and I want to get them extended to something longer like 35 feet?

We carry T-8, T-11, T-14 and T-17 in four choices:

Package of 30' coil with loops or in 500' spools or by the foot.

Plus in Outbound Custom Cut integrated sinktip line.

We also carry the Cortland LC13 lead-core in 30' coils or 500' spools or by the foot.

**All this is for making tips or shooting heads to sink very fast.

    Default T-8,11,14

Robin and I use 33 feet of T-11

So if they put 35' in the packages that would work.....

I still like to buy a 100' at a time
    that gives me less waste
and the loops they give with the pre-cut tips are IMO not up to snuf......

you do have some custom hand made loops available at the shop that are very good........

    Thanks Paul,

I was recently emailing with Rio about this issue of making the packages 35 feet so people who want longer than 30 feet have that option.

Not all fly shops carry bulk.

    Question T-14....

I've been using 30' of T-14 on my salty rods (9 to 12 weights). I bought a few lengths in bulk and cut them for creating loops.

I'm using 30' of T-11 on my Switch rod (6/7). It easily casts 100+'.

Now I've gotta start finding a use/rod for T-8 for surf fishing in SoCal....

I've been considering using this type of level sinking head for shad fishing with my switch rod. Is your line simply 30' of T-11 attached to some kind of running line? What kind of running line? Did you weld loops in the T-11 or did you do some other kind of connection to the leader and running line? Do you notice any issues with turnover of this level head? Thanks.
