This may turn out to be more important to restoring Klamath River Runs than the much more publicized removal of Klamath dams. For more check out Peter Fimrite's piece in today's Chronicle.

Thanks Craig
If you read it all it looks like it is a very important part of the puzzle for the come back of the Klamath River wild Silver Salmon/Coho population.
Good things happen too.

Man, it's just mind boggling.
After all this time, all of those huge projects, and we are still just starting to realize how all the pieces fit together.
It's still going to take a few years to rehab the headwaters, hope the remaining population can hang on long enough.
Thanks for the heads up Craig.

Elwood: It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses.
Jake: Hit it.
Thanx for the link. I have another one for you on this issue. I have been reading about the past of the Shasta River & how it used to be a strong stream for Steelies & Salmon. Now that is a distant memory. Part of the issue w/ the Shasta is cattle grazing. Also there were some mining going on up there too. I am happy that there is a concern effort to restore this fishery.
