    Default Time for smallies?

Well, with spring right around the corner, there are usually a few threads on this board right about now about chasing after smallmouth bass, as evidenced by this thread from a couple years ago:

    http://kiene.com/forums/showthread.php?t=5635

What say you, anyone else with smallies on the mind? I was thinking I might have to hit the Tuolumne this year -- never checked it out before but have heard they're in there. I'm hoping the water will be slow enough to be able to row my inflatable kayak up as well as downstream.

    What about you?

    Nope , never .

Smallmouth are for savages . Any self-respecting FFer will be fishing tiny dries on Bamboo for real fish , like Trout ...... not those horrible , nasty , non-native , trashy , warmwater creatures .

Oooops !! Gotta go to the cleaners and pick-up my tweed jacket ........

Yes, of course, David the purist:

Where's Ed? Ed, did Matt ever accept any of your "services" to show you the creek where he caught this one?:

After hearing some great reports the last few years of late winter/early spring Smallie fishing, it's been on my mind for about 3-4 weeks now. I'm chomping at the bit, can't wait for these streams to calm down some.
Stop! Who would cross the Bridge of Death, must answer me these questions three, ere the other side ye see.
