We have a good fairly new fly shop, Kern River Fly Shop, down south in Kernville, CA owned by Guy Jeans who I have heard is a "real good guy". Looks like he is a hell of good angler too.

He sent us a free copy of his volume 2 DVD on his water, the Upper Kern River.

You have to see this water. It is some of the finest looking trout stream in CA.

Yes, Guy Jean is a good man and a fine fisherman. I have spent a fair amount of time down in the southern Sierra the last few years and have been privileged to pass some of that time with Guy. Surprising amount of good fishing down that way despite an apparent lack of water.
